If you haven't taken the eLearning...
Day 1
-
From 8:30 am here in Phuket, your day starts at the closest dive center where you meet your PADI dive instructor, Alain Barrat.
-
He will begin with an administrative procedure if he has not already done it the day before. He will continue with a brief introduction to the basics of scuba diving, including safety rules, diving signals (underwater communication), and equipment.
-
Once we have prepared the diving equipment and done a pre-dive safety check with your buddy, it's time to learn to breathe underwater. You will start at the shallow end of the pool, and once you feel comfortable, the instructor will bring you to the deepest part. During the morning pool session, you participate in 2 or 3 dives distributed over a single session, and include the process of learning diving techniques.
-
This is where you have the opportunity to practice the underwater skills that you reviewed during your learning. You will talk about it in the afternoon with your instructor. You are well prepared for your first 3 boat dives for day 3.
-
After the pool session, which generally ends around 11:45 am, you can enjoy a shower, get changed, and eat lunch.
-
After the break, complete with your instructor the theoretical part of the 3 chapters that you have personally reviewed in your manual. If you are well prepared, the day ends around 15:00 and you can go home.
Day 2
-
From 9:00 am here in Phuket, your day starts at the same dive center with your PADI instructor, Alain Barrat.
-
Once you have prepared the diving equipment and done a pré-dive safety check with your buddy, it's time to get wet. You will start at the deepest part of the pool. During the morning pool session and according to the day's progress, you'll participate in 2 or 3 dives distributed over a single session, including learning diving techniques.
-
After the pool session, which generally ends around 11:45 am, you can enjoy a shower, change yourself and eat lunch.
-
After the break, complete with your instructor the theoretical part of the last 2 chapters that you have personally reviewed in your manual. If you are well prepared, the day ends around 15:00, and you can go home.
Day 3
-
If necessary, we will pick you up around 7:30 am with a minibus to go to Chalong Bay south of Phuket, where a boat awaits you at the pier.
-
Around 08:30, departure for Racha Yai, Racha Noi, or Koh Phi Phi.
-
After the boat briefing, you prepare your dive equipment, and once finished, remember to hydrate yourself, relax and enjoy the cruise.
-
At 10:00, and if everything went well: dive briefing, pré-dive safety check with your buddy, and you are ready for your 1st dive.
-
The maximum depth of this dive will be 12 meters with a maximum dive time of 50 minutes. You're demonstrating a few skills learned the day before.
-
Back on board, you have time to eat fruit, to réhydrate yourself, and relax.
-
At noon, and if everything went well: dive briefing, pré-dive safety check with your buddy, and you are ready for your 2nd dive.
-
The maximum depth of this dive will also be 12 meters with a maximum dive time of 50 minutes. You will redemonstrate a few other skills learned the day before.
-
Back on board, you have time to enjoy lunch (Thai buffet), to réhydrate yourself, and to relax.
-
After the lunch break, you will have the opportunity to do a 3rd dive on another dive site and this one is an exploration dive without any skills. The only skill you may have to demonstrate is...to have fun...
-
Back to your hotel around 5 pm.
Day 4
-
The schedule for this day remains the same on day 3, but with a big difference:
-
The maximum depth of the first two dives will be 18 meters, and the depth of the last dive will be 12 meters. The dive time remains at a maximum of 50 minutes for all three.
